Chase Bus Services in Staffordshire was believed to have the country's largest surviving fleet of Leyland Nationals, with 27 still in operation when they sold out to Arriva in early 2007. The farewell running day was held on April 28, but six examples in advertising liveries had their fronts painted in Arriva colours and continued in service into May. They were all then auctioned and Koncept Travel bought 53 (THX 264S) for use on school contracts. It is a 10.3m version, new to London Transport as a dual-door vehicle, and retains its Leyland 510 engine.
