Red Rose is the spiritual successor to the famous Aylesbury independent Red Rover, who could trace their history back to before World War 1 but sold out to Luton & District in 1988. The company was founded in 1992 with one minibus on a local service and has steadily expanded since. Around 25 buses are now operated on tendered services for Bucks and Herts County Councils over a wide area stretching as far as Watford in the south and Bedford in the north east. The depot was at a railway yard in Aylesbury for many years but has now moved to Motts' former premises near Dinton.
