| SMS commenced operation in the early 1990s as Simpson's Private Hire with a couple of minibuses, but has expanded quite rapidly and now runs a varied modern fleet including minicoaches, service buses and a full-size coach, as well as chauffeur-driven luxury cars. The company also had an associated self-drive hire operation, Silverstone Vehicle Hire, but the PSV business, together with the operating centre at a former petrol station on the A43 near Towcester, was sold to new owners during 2003 and has continued to develop. |
